Cambodian Independance Day

Today, November 9th, is Cambodia's Independance Day!  In 1953, Cambodian became independant from France.  Just like major holidays in the US, schools are closed today, and many people are celebrating.  Happy Indepedance Day, Cambodia!!

That is probably neat to experience. Do they celebrate it the same way we do?

  4. The schools were closed for the day, and in the capital there was a large parade. I didn't get a day off. We met with charities who were doing work within education. They have many holidays that celebrate different things. For instance, later this month, they have a water fesitval.
